South African Police Service officials have urged women in and around Kempton Park \u2014 especially Rhodesfield \u2014 to take extreme care after four women's bodies were discovered in the same general area over a period of about two months. The most recent body was found on Saturday, 12 September 2026.<\/p>\n

According to police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, detectives have noted worrying similarities: the victims were found partly unclothed and with visible bruising, and the discovery sites lie close to one another. Authorities stress that a serial killer has not been confirmed, but the pattern is serious enough to justify a public warning and intensified inquiries.<\/p>\n

Women are being advised not to walk or run alone, particularly in isolated spots, and to travel or exercise in groups where possible. Acting National Commissioner Lieutenant General Puleng Dimpane has ordered the Gauteng Provincial Commissioner to set up a multidisciplinary task team, including the Murder and Robbery Unit and the Investigative Psychology Unit, under Major General Mbuso Khumalo.<\/p>\n
