The advisory runs from 18:00 on Sunday, 13 September 2026, until 23:59 on Monday, 14 September 2026.

A cut-off low-pressure system is forecast to trigger scattered to widespread showers and thundershowers. Rainfall totals of 25–50 mm are expected over the Eastern Namakwa and Central Karoo, with some districts possibly receiving 60–80 mm by Monday.

SAWS warns that flooding of settlements and low-lying ground, closure of bridges, roads and mountain passes, and displacement of communities are all possible. Fast-flowing streams may endanger lives, while traffic disruption and interruptions to water, electricity and schooling cannot be ruled out. Residents in affected districts should monitor updates and avoid flooded routes.

Source: https://www.sanews.gov.za/south-africa/saws-warns-disruptive-rain-western-cape-northern-cape

A cut-off low is expected to bring heavy rain, flooding risk and road closures from Sunday evening into Monday night.

[127,128
130
post-102","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news","category-south-africa","tag-weather
["GET
